RFARRS001 – Recognise and respond to sick or injured children

This Nationally Recognised Training online course is designed to empower early childhood carers and educators with the vital skills of recognition of the sick or injured child, and communication techniques with sick or injured children.

Approved by ACECQA, this course extends and builds on the HLTAID004, leaving you confident to respond to a child in your care in an emergency.

Modules include:

  • Communication techniques with a sick or injured child
  • Prevention, recognition and response to a choking child
  • The child with a breathing problem
  • Vomiting, diarrhoea and dehydration in babies and children
  • The child with a neurological problem
  • Rashes and other skin problems
  • Understanding medical action plans AND MUCH MORE

You will receive a Statement of Attainment (Nationally Recognised Training Certificate) on successful completion of this Unit of Competency.

*Please note, this unit of competency does not replace the HLTAID004, it extends on the HLTAID004 skills and knowledge.
