Kris Museth RN, Graduate Diploma in Critical Care Nursing.
I bring to CPR Kids over 20 years of nursing experience, the last 13 years I have worked exclusively in a busy Paediatric Intensive Care Unit which has exposed me to children from the ages of 0-18 years old, with a variety of issues both medical and surgical in nature. We see some of the sickest kids in NSW.
I also have a 14 year old daughter and I am an aunty to 11 nephews and nieces. We have also just taken on two foster children, aged 3 and 4 years. My first aid experience and knowledge is frequently tested, which has really hit home the importance of regularly updating my own first aid knowledge and appreciating how important this knowledge is to everyday life.
What has driven me to join the CPR Kids team is its ethos in empowering everyday people with knowledge that could one day save a life of a loved one or someone in our community. Far too often we see children in our hospitals that could have had a better outcome if only someone knew what to do. CPR Kids is the link between knowledge and better outcomes, empowering individuals to make a difference.
